I have a client who had OH income tax withheld from his paychecks. But the employee had moved out of OH in 2021. He does not live or work in OH but works remotely. Since has no physical presence in OH, there should be no tax withheld. But companies are withholding taxes based on the fact that the work is performed remotely in their state (in this case, OH). Should I claim credit on the OH return for the tax withheld for OH?
Thanks
