When balance is 0, is it DR, CR or something else?

I've been taking a high school accounting course; it says I should mark whether the balance is CR or DR. But what if the balance is 0 on the nose?

Then you stand up in class and shout "Bingo!!"

I think they are asking you for the "normal" balance of the account - for example cash has a normal "DR" balance.

No, it can change to CR if the balance goes below 0, and back to DR if it goes into the debit again.. I'm attaching the account that has this "0" issue so you can see...

Thanks for the jpg. As the A/P balance has a normal credit balance, when it hits zero I would show it with A CR.

=> No CR or DR for the balance is "0"
