Back in 2007, I took time off to be with family during a ' rough time '. I'm sure we all have been through it, and it's the right thing to do. About three years ago, I started receiving various ' offers ' from various businesses looking for tax accountants. What started out as something positive has turned into something rather worrisome. Headhunters call, but they tell me that the gap in my resume is troubling for employers. I am currently studying for the CPA exam with two sections left to pass. Should I focus on the exam? Should I try an internship? Or, is it a lost cause altogether and do firms just want robots? Please help.
