My brother and I own a couple of different business entities. In previous years, while one would thrive, another would struggle....so we didn't really have a large tax issue. More recently, our businesses are doing better. We are looking for a way to avoid taxes by putting $ away in a tax defferred plan. I am 49, my brother is 55.

We have 4 employees, but I suspect only 1 or maybe 2 of these employees would participate.

401k's might be an option, but we are concerned about costs.

Our ulitimate goal, is to put some money away for the owners without having it be a burdensome amount for the other employees.

Any thoughts are appreciated!
