Our supplier requires a copy of our customer's purchase orders. The problem is, some customers simply don't provide purchase orders or use that kind of ordering procedure.

Aside from having someone from the company we are selling to sign one of our quotes, are there any other official/legally binding documents we can have a customer either fill out or sign in lieu of a PO?

Thanks in advance.

Why does your supplier require a copy of *your* customer's P.O? After all, the customer's P.O would be to you, and not to your supplier.

Is that normal in the US or is there something that you're not telling us about?

No, this is definitely not normal here in the US. I agree that this post seems sketchy.

We're on an Escrow agreement with the supplier, meaning the customer mails their payment to the supplier's lockbox, where they then take their cost out of the payment and then send us our margin.
