For years, my husband and I have filled out our rather simply US Federal Tax Forms ourselves.
Then gone into the IRS offices nearest our home and have the forms and our chedk "stamped in". Of course, we also have a copy of our forms and check stamped as well. That way, there can be no question of the IRS not receiving our documents and payment.
If we were not to go into the IRS this year, what would be the best way to send the forms and check.
I know people who send certified/return receipt. But, that just is confirmation of an envelop being received.
Thanks
Liz
