Reconciling Investment Accounts

Is there a difference between reconciling investment accounts and balance sheet accounts?

It is difficult to answer when one doesn't understand the question...

Perhaps if I understood what is motivating you to ask this question I can provide some guidance.

My initial reaction is that an, "investment" account is some sort of asset, which would be included in reconciling a, "balance sheet" account.
