Hi there, I'm currently seeking accounting job. I'd like to start from the entry level such as:
Accounts Receivable/ Payable/ Clerk.
Because I have very little experience in accounting field. To my very limited knowledge, I understand some of the AR daily routine.
However, I still have some concerns about one question which is often asked in the early job interview related to AR:
What is the most difficult task/ challenge in AR job?
I'm not sure how can I answer it, or what suggested examples could be used to demonstrate that I can be the right person to handle difficult situations?

If someone could generously and kindly help me with this, that would be so appreciated.

Thank you.

It depends on the exact nature of the job, but I would refine it to two details.

1. Ensuring every invoice is billed correctly, under the terms of the contract, and is very clear.
2. Getting customer to pay in a timely manner/collections. Collection calls will be a part of the job, and getting customers to pay can be challenging. (Develop a 4 step process, and be prepared to outline that process in the interview. Eg. Establish that they received the invoice, establish whether they are disputing the invoice, agree to a payment date, follow up.

I hope that help.s
