Hi,
Trying to run a VAT return but keep getting "Database Timeout".
It's not a hardware problem as the server running the return is a 2 x 12 core 2.4 processor with 16 gb RAM running Windows Server 2003 AND SQL Server Professional.
I have been in contact with Mamut who gave me a few scripts to run to reduce the database size, however the VAT return still timesout. Been in touch with microsoft who will not help at all.
Has anyone else had this problem and how did you get round it? I can run the VAT100Liability report directly from SSMS by running the correct store proc, this takes about 25 hours, but thats kind of useless 'cus I can't seem to find the procedure to create the vat return from the VAT100Liability report.
I have a complete standalone test system so if anyone has any ideas I can test and report back.
Thanks
Simon
