I am doing a gross profit analysis to understand the impacts of changes to Product Cost, Product Price, Sales Mix and Volume. I used the following link to get the equations: http://www.accountingdetails.com/gross_profit_analysis_previous_years_figure.htm
The aggregated numbers look good, but the numbers on individual items in Sales Mix and Volume are inflated. They all sum to the correct value, but I want to be able to break it down further. Ultimately I would like to take a set of products and understand how they impacted gross profit based on the four categories.
