USA Financial Management Careers

Hello there, so I have been looking at the different avenues that I can take when it comes to accounting, and financial management really caught my interest and was wondering what it is like, what are the hours, what is the salary or pay like and is it a job that has a lot of leeway and not stuck in an office for more than one should be, what are the pros and cons, I want to find a job that just still gives me that ability to have control over my life and not get stuck in the corporate world for the rest of my life, I after I come out of the military I will try to find something within the accounting world and right now I love my job and I just want to make sure that what I am signing myself up for will be worth the time and energy that I put into it when I graduate from college or separate from the military, I will say I did love learning what I did in my accounting 4a and 4b classes and really just wanted to keep pursuing accountancy as an option, any insight is welcome and thank you!
