USA ex-wife question

I got divorced last summer and have questions about taxes.

I paid 5 months of her student loans since income was solely by me. It was also out of my bank account and can provide proof i paid them.

Am I able to claim this on my taxes???

Yes, you can claim for tax on this amount. Because it is earned by you. The limit of the deduction is up to $2500 dollars.
