UK Definition of financial year

By default it starts on the day it was registered and ends 12 months later on the last day of month in which it was registered. So if you registered it today, your financial year end would be 28/02/2019. You can change your year end date if you want but there rules about it that you can look up on Companies House website. There's also implications for the all important tax returns that you can check out on HMRC's website.
