Ok so basically, I graduate last year (2015) with a degree in accounting and finance. I am currently undertaking my CIMA professional exams (E3,P3,F3 + case study) then I will be done exam wise.

What I'm a little confused is a requirement is that you need 3 years relevant experience to be full signed off.

Now, unlike the lucky some I am funding my own study's and I don't have a job in an accounting firm or anything relevant toward the qualification (I work as a accounts administrator at BNYM - which is bizarre from the words "accounts administrator" actually has nothing to do with accounting)

Once I have completed my exams what exactly can I put on my CV? Will I be qualified but not chartered? Will I be 'part qualified'?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

You won't be qualified by just passing all the exams - it's the experience side of things that gets you qualified, so you're going to want to get yourself into an accounting role asap because you can clock up relevant experience at the same time as going through your exams. I'm not sure what you could say on your C.V if you've passed all the exams but don't have the 3 years experience. With ACCA, people in that position are called 'affiliates'. CIMA might have something along the same lines but I don't know. Probably best checking directly with them.

Thanks for the reply!!

I phoned them yesterday and it turns out that I will be a 'passed finalist'.

Better get the hunt on for some accountancy work!
