Hi All,

I recently attained my BSME in 2011, and have been working as an engineer for a little over a year now. I am considering a change into accounting, and I have a couple questions.

1. How long (approximately) will it take for me to get an accounting degree (considering that I have math courses thru my engineering degree)?

2. What are the ups and downs of being an accountant - based on your experience.

3. Do most go on to get their CPA?

Thank you for all help and advice.

1. For a bachelors , Roughly about two years going full time. Really depends on the school you apply to. First school will see if any credits can be transferred. Second depends on quality of school . If it is a diploma mill then wont take long at all but you may not learn anything.

But for 4 years you were convinced that you should be an engineer. What changed?
