Adding quantities to inventory list

I have a list in excel of about 250 items with quantities. If I import the list as a whole, do I need to omit the quantities and add those with POs? Or can I add quantities with the items from the start? My concern is how QB will match the cost of the item list added.

According to Intuit QuickBooks Support:

If you are importing existing inventory items, you cannot update their Quantity On Hand (QOH), value on hand (VOH) or average cost.
For new inventory items you are importing, you can set up a Quantity On Hand (QOH) and a Value on Hand (VOH) and establish an average cost. QuickBooks enters an Adjust Quantity/Value on Hand debiting the item's asset account and crediting Opening Balance Equity.

Hope this helps.

Yes for importing existing inventory items one cannot update QOH, VOH. But if you are importing a new inventor items you can add up QOH and other things.
